What will happen next...?
You have seen many movies, TV series and read many books. You must have come across different stories.
After watching/reading that story, how did this story flow, what happened to the characters in the story, and does everything end with the ending we saw? Have you come across the question?
It always comes to me.
If I take an example and explain, let's take avatar the last airbender series.
The story that has been flowing for 3 books and a total of 65 episodes finally ends in a place where everyone is together in Uncle Iro's tea shop.
As soon as I finished watching it, after some time it came to my mind what happened to the story after this. It started to bother me a lot. So, he found out about the legend of korra series while looking for it in Google. After that, even after looking into it, the problem was still not solved properly. While the question about what happened between the Atla series and lok was still there, another question came to mind about what happened after lok.
Then, while searching for answers, he came to know about graphic novels. Even after reading what happened after this? That question comes up again and again. That's why we are waiting for the 2024 gaang youth adventure film.
I said this is just one example. I had the same feeling about many other stories I watched and read. I think you feel that way about the fandom and films/series you love the most. Because your interest in it encourages you to dive deeper into the story.
Even if the original creators of the story did not say that this is the story after the story, you may have your own opinion and theory about the story you watched. An extension of your imagination to the events after the end of your favorite story.
