How Arya Stark's little sword got its name as the Needle?
This small sword was made by Jon Snow for Arya Stark by one of their blacksmiths. Arya Stark is not as good at sewing as her sisters. Arya didn't like how the Stark daughters' teacher, Morden Priestess, tried to teach her how to sew with needles. He loves swords and the arts.
So when Jon Snow makes the sword and secretly gives it to Arya, he says that it can't cut someone's neck, but if it's fast enough, it can cut as many holes as you want. And because Arya didn't like sewing classes, she named it "Needle."
Little Arya is very happy when she finds the needle. Jon Snow goes to the Night's Watch that day, remembering the smile on Arya's face.
